Pathways – Personal Development Programmes
Pathways is a comprehensive internal development scheme aimed at giving colleagues across HBOS Retail the opportunity to progress their careers or move on to a new career path.
‘Career Pathways’ provides colleagues who want to progress with structured development programmes. Posters and leaflets advertising the scheme are distributed throughout Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches, contact centres and supporting offices. Colleagues are directed to a bespoke intranet site that allows them to register their interest for other roles within the company. Since its launch in September 2005, the scheme has generated tens of thousands of page views and hundreds of internal applications.
‘Training & Competency Pathways’ delivers all the competencies that colleagues require via individual booklets – one for each role within the business. This information is also available via a dedicated intranet site that has instantaneous links to areas of support.
